Nice story line. The boyfriend (Cyllian Murphy) did a nice job...even though I wanted to kick him a few times lol. I think Thandie did a great job on her role too. Why when people go to an isolated island they never have a back-up boat?? I rated this one 8/10.
Cyllian Murphy the lead male/husband has made a career out of playing wimps, - good on him - really a fine actor, Thandie Newton is simply a pleasure to watch in anything - but like all black actresses she gets stuck with shite... and this film is just that.. even in Scotland - The script should have been harder - they took no chances - the guy was clearly mad from the moment he arrived - and these are two seemingly intelligent people. Give me a break - it did not feel claustrophobic at all - or even sinister - just a bad premise "Global Outbreak" - a smart ass woman - and a punk for a husband and a obviously inept bad guy - who should have been all over Newton - stupid all the way around.
