this film is not for those without a social conscious. if you dont want to think, dont watch this movie. if you think everything you do is by your own choice dont watch this movie. if you think you are to clever to be manipulated by the media and your government and advertising dont watch this movie. other than that quite thought provoking, quite weird 7/10
this was awesome, imaginative and thought provoking along with the guy gets the girl in the end, set in a premise of what could be arguable what is really happening now a days with advertising and branding, not the monsters so much but the manipulations of the consumers, truly fun and great to watch.
Very interesting, I wanted to see this movie just because it look interesting, and the concept was well pending to say the least. I even sat through and watched it in Russian, and even though its not a top rate movie, it was interesting to me the old Propaganda machine was attempting to show capitalism in its finest attempt. Not so, I did find it strange that for the main actor to become enlightened, he performed one of the old hebrew rituals of burning the Red Heifer, putting the ash into some water and pouring it on himself, hahaha then he saw everything, and agree with the comment from another post about the bad graphics. I was trying to figure out what the heck some of those creatures were. There was a great attempt to show the sponge of one but I did quite get where the designer was going, and the dragon egg, I think someone had a pokemon dream before the next shoot. All in all I am even interested, will try it in engrish LOL ya, posting this even before I trudge through it again, just cause. i see some one decided to share the waste of time that was branded.yes could have been a great movie,but sadly nope not even close....40 to 50 mins of nothing only to get to see badly drawn animatins in the last 30 mins of the movie...to much hurry up and wait...told you all it sucked lol
A bit strange. Thin line between keeping my interest & not, but as it get's going you get the idea. Unfortunately not that far fetched an idea eather. Leelee Sobieski is pretty sexy in it. 5-10
this was terrible, it felt like someone that made it was on an acid trip, boring I barely made it through the movie. The acting was good and even had the actress from couple retreat, but I could not even rate this on a 1-10 it is a zero. thanks always zmovie for the great movies/ yes and even if there bad it great because you give me th eability to screen out which ones I will add to my over 350 dvd collection.
It is mostly in in English, but there are some Russian language parts (since it is set in Russia, that makes sense) but if you don't speak Russian, that does not take away much from following and understanding what's going on.
This movie is so close to being great. There is a great message, and a pretty cool twist of events halfway through. I imagine if this was a book, it was probably a bloody awesome book. The pace of the film is quite slow, but you don't need to go 100mph all the time. I quite enjoyed it...it was alright. One time watch.
this is one of those movies that you have to be smoked up or high to even understand. I made myself finish the whole movie just to convince myself that the movie was actually that stupid. worst movie I've watched in 5 years!!!! Vid & audio was awesome thanks guys great job!!
The first hr is slow and boring and then it suddenly got weird and that was a big time improvement.When I was first watching Branded I thought to myself "Wow,this is an epic fail.",but the final 40-ish minutes got interesting.However,there were many instances I would've liked to have seen English subs.I give it a 6/10.
